Details you give us. When you use our eligibility checker, request a callback, call, email or message us, we collect what you provide: your name, phone number, email address, business name, and the information you tell us about your funding need — amount, purpose, business type, trading history and approximate turnover.

Details we gather while arranging funding. If you ask us to proceed, we may collect further information needed for lender applications — such as filed accounts, bank statements, management figures and director details — always with your knowledge, because you’ll usually be the one supplying it.

Website usage. We use analytics tools (Google Analytics and Meta’s tools) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, and how you arrived. This is measured against an anonymous identifier, not your name.

We use your information to: respond to your enquiry and give you an indicative view of your options; match your business to suitable lenders and, with your agreement, introduce you to them; keep records of the advice and introductions we make; meet our legal and regulatory obligations; and improve this website.

Our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract (handling your enquiry and application), legitimate interests (running and improving our service), consent (marketing and non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (record-keeping and anti-money-laundering checks where they apply).

Using the eligibility checker on this site does not involve a credit search and has no effect on your credit score. If you later proceed with an application, a lender may run a search — we will always tell you before anything that could leave a footprint on your file happens, and whether it will be a soft or hard search.

We share your information with lenders on our panel only when you ask us to proceed with them, and only what they need to assess your application. We never sell your information, and we don’t pass your details to other brokers or marketing lists.

We also use trusted service providers to run our business — website hosting, database, email delivery and analytics — under contracts that restrict what they can do with your data.
